Back to school lunches get a retro treat

Back in the day when jello first arrived the average house wife of the time was experimenting with this new found wiggly giggly food. Made into all sorts of concoactions like salads and dessert this treat is still eaten today.

As a snack for a school lunch I found a better option

to this very sugar loaded treat.

I wanted to find something that was still wiggley and with jello like texture but these treats are easy to actually pick up and fruit juice and jam or preserves sweeten these.

I don't use the all the sugar called for and look for low sugar preserves as well. Yummy new addtion to an old stand by.

Fruit Jellies

These colorful fruit jellies are simple to make and fun to eat. Try one of these flavor combinations: apple juice and apricot preserves; grape juice and jam; pomegranate juice and raspberry preserves; and strawberry-apple juice and strawberry jam.
